I am a theologian, writer, speaker, consultant and organiser with a focus on social justice and EDI (equality, diversity, and inclusion). I currently work for the Methodist Church and the Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) as the team’s Campaigns and Church Engagement Co-ordinator. JPIT helps the Methodist, URC and Baptist denominations to work nationally and locally for justice and peace and to engage with politics. 

I am an ordained minister in the United Reformed Church and, prior to my current role, served as a Special Category Minister in Cambridge city centre and founded Solidarity Hub as well as engaging in community organising. I volunteer in the URC as the Assistant Clerk to the General Assembly – supporting colleagues in governance work. I also often lead worship at local churches as a visiting preacher. 

As a keen advocate for social justice, I enjoy supporting charities who work in this area. Formerly a trustee of the Open Table Network and of Inclusive Church, I am now a Patron of the Open Table Network (OTN). OTN is a network of Christian communities which centre the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ people. I also have specialist safeguarding experience, gained through working with Creating Sanctuary.

As a theologian, writer and speaker – with experience as an EDI facilitator – I write and speak on topics related to public theology, politics, and social justice with particular interests in body theologies including disability, queer, and trauma theologies. I have a doctorate in theology which overlaps the areas of public, body and queer theologies with a particular focus on trans theology. My most recent book, TransFormations, draws on that research.
